Yizhong Xue is a partner at Merits & Tree Law Offices. Xue’s main areas of practice include PE/VC, M&A and licensing transactions in the life science and healthcare industries. As a sophisticated professional with nearly 20 years’ experience, he worked as head of legal and compliance and member of the senior management teams at several multinational companies, having participated in decision-making and led various business development and strategic projects. Xue is particularly skilled at designing and structuring deals and business models, providing clients with total solutions throughout the entire lifecycle of transactions and business operations.

 

Xue is capable of negotiation and resolution for complex transactions and disputes. He won multiple high-value, industry-benchmark litigations in the field of high-value medical devices. Xue also has extensive experience in the area of healthcare compliance, especially in participating and passing the monitorship program by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

 

Prior to joining M&T, Xue served as Legal and Compliance Director for Greater China and APAC Ops at Zimmer Biomet, and as Head of Legal at Genor Biopharma Group. He also held legal positions at several multinational companies, and had practiced as an attorney-at-law at Jun He LLP.
